Course Overview

Break Free from Emotional Eating by Understanding Where It All Began

Feelings and Fries is a 4-week online course designed to help you understand the emotional roots of your eating habits — and give you the tools to finally break free from them.

This course goes deeper than food plans or willpower. It’s about uncovering the why behind emotional eating, starting with the experiences that shaped your relationship with food. Through guided videos and practical exercises, you’ll explore how food became your go-to coping tool, and more importantly, how to change that pattern.

Each week builds on the last to help you reflect, rewire, and reclaim control over your eating — using tools grounded in emotional intelligence, mindful eating, and behavior change psychology.

Whether you eat when you’re stressed, bored, sad, or even happy — this course will help you stop the cycle and start building a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food.

Food won’t fix your feelings. But you can.

feelings & fries course

The feelings & fries course is for the moments when food starts to feel like your fastest comfort. Stress hits, feelings rise, and suddenly you’re eating even when you’re not hungry—then the guilt shows up right behind it. If that cycle feels familiar, the feelings & fries course is here to help you understand what’s happening and give you other options that don’t rely on shame or strict rules.

In the feelings & fries course, we focus on the emotional layer of eating—because your eating patterns are never “random.” They’re often a response to overwhelm, loneliness, pressure, grief, anxiety, or exhaustion. We’ll work on noticing your cues earlier, naming what you feel, and creating a pause that gives you choice. You’ll also learn why restriction can make urges louder, and how steadier nourishment can reduce the “urgent craving” feeling that makes food feel impossible to resist.

The feelings & fries course is self-paced, which means you can learn and practice without pressure. This isn’t about never eating fries (or sweets, or comfort foods). It’s about expanding comfort so food isn’t the only tool you have. You’ll build practical strategies for coping in the moment, plus calmer routines that support you day to day. If you want peace with food, less guilt, and more trust in yourself, the feelings & fries course gives you a compassionate, realistic way forward.

About me

Why is it that some people can follow a meal plan and change their eating habits overnight… while others struggle, even when they know exactly what to do?

Is it a lack of willpower? discipline? dotivation?

Do we just “not want it badly enough”?

That’s what diet culture would have us believe.

But I’ve always known the truth goes much deeper.

When I was in 9th grade, I came back to school after summer break carrying not just 15 extra pounds—but the weight of sudden grief. My dad had passed away unexpectedly three months earlier, and I turned to food to cope. That summer, food became comfort, distraction, and relief. I didn’t have the emotional tools to process what I was feeling—so I ate.

As the years went on, I tried every diet I could find. But nothing felt easy or sustainable. It wasn’t until my twenties that I began to understand: this wasn’t about food. It was about how and why I was using food.

That led me to study nutritional psychology, emotional eating, and CBT tools for behavior change. I learned how childhood experiences, emotions, and unconscious beliefs shape our relationship with food. And now, I help others do the same.

Today, I’m a registered dietitian who helps people untangle the connection between food and feelings. If you’re stuck in a cycle of eating to soothe, numb, or escape—and you’re tired of beating yourself up for it—Feelings and Fries is a safe place to start exploring.

This course isn’t about perfection or pressure.

It’s about insight, awareness, and planting the seeds of real change.

Because when you understand why you eat, you can start to relate to yourself—and food—with more compassion.

Testimonials

I never connected the dots between my mom’s constant dieting and my own relationship with food until this course. Watching her obsess over calories and criticize her body every day felt normal growing up — I didn’t realize how much it shaped the way I think about food and my own worth. Feelings and Fries helped me understand that so many of my beliefs around eating weren’t even mine to begin with. Now I can start unlearning them and making choices that come from me, not from years of inherited shame.

For the first time, I feel like I can approach weight loss without guilt or unrealistic expectations. This course helped me shift my thinking from ‘I just need more discipline’ to ‘What is this food doing for me emotionally?’ I started noticing patterns and thought traps I never realized I had. I’m eating more mindfully, but more importantly, I’m treating myself with way more understanding and curiosity instead of judgment.

I’ve done so many programs that told me what to eat, but none that helped me understand why I was eating in the first place. Feelings and Fries opened my eyes to just how emotionally charged my food choices are. It didn’t make me feel ashamed — it made me feel seen. I’m finally starting to approach my eating habits with compassion instead of frustration.
